Key Responsibilities

  • Operate public transport buses safely and efficiently on assigned routes, adhering to strict schedules.
  • Ensure the safety of all passengers, including safe boarding, alighting, and driving practices.
  • Collect fares, issue tickets, and assist passengers with inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, reporting any defects or mechanical issues promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy bus interior, ensuring a comfortable environment for passengers.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and transportation regulations.
  • Manage unexpected situations such as traffic delays, diversions, or emergencies with professionalism and effective communication.
  • Provide excellent customer service, assisting passengers with special needs when required.
  • Complete daily logs, reports, and paperwork accurately.
  • Undergo regular training to stay updated on safety protocols, route changes, and customer service best practices.

Required Skills

  • Valid heavy vehicle driving license (Category PCV/D)
  • Clean driving record with no major violations
  • Proven experience in professional driving, preferably public transport
  • Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and road safety regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with a patient and calm demeanor
  • Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and identify mechanical issues

Preferred Qualifications
