Job Description

Are you passionate about data and empowering users to make informed decisions? Data#3 is seeking a dedicated and proactive Business Analytics Support professional to join our dynamic team remotely from Fernwood, Victoria. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for our internal and external stakeholders, providing critical support for our business analytics platforms and reports. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of our data solutions, troubleshooting issues, and guiding users through complex data landscapes. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support for business analytics tools, dashboards, and reports, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot data discrepancies, system errors, and performance issues within reporting environments (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Assist users with queries related to data definitions, report navigation, and understanding analytical outputs.
  • Document support procedures, common issues, and solutions to build a comprehensive knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analytics developers to escalate and resolve complex technical problems.
  • Conduct basic data extraction and manipulation using SQL to assist with investigations and ad-hoc reporting requests.
  • Participate in the testing and validation of new reports, dashboards, and system enhancements prior to deployment.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on how to effectively utilise business intelligence tools and data assets.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (2+ years) in a business intelligence, data analytics, or technical support role.
  • Proficiency with at least one major BI tool (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense).
  • Solid understanding of SQL for data querying and basic manipulation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain clear documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Certification in a relevant BI platform (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate).
