Job Description
Are you a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a passion for ensuring operational resilience? Rogers Communications is seeking a dedicated Business Continuity Support Aide to join our remote team, contributing to the strength and stability of our critical operations. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in supporting the development, maintenance, and testing of our comprehensive business continuity plans across various departments. Working remotely from Varsity, Calgary, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential disruptions, assess risks, and help implement strategies to minimize their impact. Your day-to-day will involve meticulously documenting procedures, updating contact information, scheduling and assisting in the coordination of exercises, and ensuring compliance with our established business continuity framework. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, documentation, and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs).
- Coordinate and schedule business continuity training sessions and awareness programs for various departments.
- Maintain accurate records of all business continuity-related documents, including policies, procedures, and contact lists.
- Support the planning and execution of business continuity exercises and tests, documenting outcomes and identifying areas for improvement.
- Help track and report on compliance with established business continuity standards and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate communication channels during potential or actual disruptive events, ensuring timely information dissemination.
- Research and analyze industry best practices and emerging threats related to business continuity and organizational resilience.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
- Basic understanding of business operations and process documentation.
- Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to task completion.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams virtually.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in an administrative support role, preferably within a large organization.
- Familiarity with business continuity principles, disaster recovery, or risk management concepts.
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with project management tools or document management systems.
