Phoenix Beverages Ltd, Mauritius’ leading producer and distributor of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, invites you to join our vibrant team as a Business Development Officer specializing in expansion and sales in the critical Flacq District. As a Business Development Officer, you will be at the forefront of identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities within the Lalmatie and broader Flacq District. Your mission will be to expand our distribution network, forge strong relationships with new and existing clients, and increase sales volumes across our diverse portfolio of beloved brands. You will be responsible for meticulously researching market trends, competitor activities, and consumer demands to develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the district’s unique landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities within the Lalmatie and Flacq District.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets and market share growth.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, understanding their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring adherence to company guidelines and profitability objectives.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align business development strategies with broader company goals.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, market insights, and business development activities.
  • Represent Phoenix Beverages at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management (minimum 3 years).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasive abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Proficiency in market analysis and strategic planning.
  • Valid driving license and ability to travel within the district.
  • Fluent in English and French (both written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) or beverage industry.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of the local market dynamics in Flacq District.
