Job Description
Are you passionate about transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions? TELUS is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Business Intelligence Analyst to join our dynamic team in Shaughnessy, Vancouver. In this full-time role, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between complex data and clear, impactful business strategies. You will work closely with various departments, including marketing, operations, finance, and product development, to understand their data needs, design robust reporting solutions, and deliver insights that optimize performance and achieve company objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and business trends.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various source systems (data warehouses, databases, APIs) ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform strategic business decisions and optimize operations.
- Present findings and recommendations to non-technical audiences in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
- Support data governance initiatives, ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance with company standards.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing BI solutions, tools, and processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and reports.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, new technologies, and trends in business intelligence and data analytics.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Looker).
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL processes.
- Proven ability to perform complex data analysis and synthesize findings into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse Analytics).
