Key Responsibilities

  • Generate routine and ad-hoc business reports, dashboards, and presentations for various departments across the organization.
  • Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple internal and external sources to ensure utmost accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist in the development and ongoing maintenance of reporting templates, automation scripts, and automated reporting solutions.
  • Perform initial data analysis to identify significant trends, anomalies, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders to understand their specific reporting requirements and translate them into clear, actionable technical specifications.
  • Ensure all reports comply rigorously with internal policies, data governance standards, and relevant industry regulations.
  • Support data governance initiatives by helping to maintain comprehensive data dictionaries and thorough documentation.
  • Provide basic training and ongoing support to end-users on reporting tools, dashboards, and data interpretation.
  • Continuously seek and implement opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, accuracy, timeliness, and overall impact.
  • Participate in special projects related to data management, business intelligence, and process optimization as required.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data visualization, macros).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex data and insights clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced remote environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data manipulation techniques and basic statistical concepts.
  • Experience with reporting tools and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL).
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in a data analysis, reporting, or similar administrative role.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a closely related quantitative field.
  • Prior experience working within the financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., IIROC, OSC).
  • Proficient experience with SQL for querying and extracting data from relational databases.
  • Knowledge of automation tools or scripting languages (e.g., Python, VBA) for data processing.
