Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the cutting, trimming, and preparation of various meat products under supervision.
- Ensure all meat products are fresh, high-quality, and displayed attractively.
- Serve customers promptly and courteously, providing product information and recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work area, including equipment, display cases, and storage units.
- Receive and store meat deliveries, ensuring proper handling and rotation to minimize waste.
- Operate and clean butchery equipment safely and effectively.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock rotation and ordering.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and health regulations.
- Assist with pricing, labelling, and merchandising of products.
- Handle customer inquiries and special requests with professionalism and efficiency.
Required Skills
- Basic knife skills or willingness to learn quickly.
- Strong commitment to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items (up to 20kg).
