As a Cadet Surveyor, you will learn the fundamentals of various surveying techniques, including topographic surveys, boundary surveys, construction staking, and volumetric calculations. Key Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Surveyors and field crews with setup, operation, and calibration of surveying equipment (GPS/GNSS, total stations, levels, etc.).
- Participate in data collection activities for various survey types including topographic, boundary, ALTA/ACSM, and construction staking.
- Perform basic calculations and data entry using surveying software.
- Maintain and organize field notes, data logs, and project documentation accurately.
- Learn and adhere to safety procedures and protocols on all job sites.
- Assist in performing quality control checks on collected data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support office-based tasks such as data processing, drafting, and report preparation as needed.
- Transport equipment and materials to and from job sites.
- Continuously learn about new surveying technologies, methods, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate progress and challenges.
Required Skills
- Strong interest in land surveying, geography, or civil engineering.
- Proficiency in basic mathematics and geometry.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office Suite).

Preferred Qualifications
