Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages, including espresso, latte, cappuccino, and cold brews, consistently adhering to recipes and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning.
- Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and resolving inquiries politely and efficiently.
- Handle cash and card transactions using a POS system, ensuring accuracy and proper cash handling procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including coffee stations, display cases, and customer seating areas.
- Monitor inventory of coffee beans, milk, and other supplies, reporting low stock levels to management.
- Contribute to a positive and cohesive team environment, assisting colleagues as needed.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a barista in a fast-paced café environment (minimum 12 months).
- Expertise in espresso machine operation, milk frothing techniques, and latte art.
- Strong understanding of various coffee types, roasts, and brewing methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to flexible work schedules, including weekends.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality beverages.
