Key Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including washing, chopping, and assembling ingredients under the direction of cafeteria staff or supervisors.
- Serve meals and beverages to employees in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring proper portion control and presentation.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the cafeteria, dining area, and kitchen, including tables, chairs, countertops, and floors.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment by hand or using a dishwasher, adhering to strict hygiene standards.
- Restock food items, condiments, napkins, and other supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during meal times.
- Monitor food temperatures and storage conditions to comply with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries, ensuring proper rotation and inventory management.
- Collaborate effectively with other cafeteria staff to ensure efficient and seamless meal service operations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor promptly.
