Key Responsibilities

  • Operate professional video cameras (DSLR, Mirrorless, Cinema Cameras) for various productions.
  • Set up, calibrate, and maintain camera equipment, including lenses, tripods, and monitors.
  • Work closely with directors, producers, and other crew members to achieve desired visual outcomes.
  • Execute camera movements, framing, and focus accurately according to shot lists and creative briefs.
  • Monitor and adjust exposure, white balance, and other camera settings as required.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with camera and related equipment on location.
  • Manage and organize captured footage, ensuring proper labeling and storage.
  • Adhere to project timelines and deliver high-quality footage consistently.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, especially during on-location shoots.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Camera Operator in a professional setting.
  • Proficiency with a range of professional camera systems and accessories (e.g., Canon, Sony, Blackmagic).
  • Strong understanding of cinematography principles, including composition, lighting, and framing.
  • Ability to operate camera stabilizers, gimbals, and dollies effectively.
  • Familiarity with basic sound recording equipment and techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for visual storytelling.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively on flexible schedules.
  • Valid UK driving license and access to reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in Film Production, Media Studies, or a related field.
  • Experience with live event broadcasting or multi-camera setups.
  • Knowledge of post-production workflows and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
  • Portfolio or showreel demonstrating a diverse range of camera work.
  • Experience working with remote focus and iris control systems.
