Career.zycto is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our vibrant team as a Part-Time Camp Counselor Aide in the picturesque setting of Tofo Beach, Inhambane. Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead camp counselors in organizing and supervising daily camp activities, including arts and crafts, sports, educational games, and outdoor adventures.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times, adhering strictly to camp policies and emergency procedures.
- Help facilitate group dynamics, encouraging participation, teamwork, and positive social interaction among children of varying ages.
- Prepare and set up equipment and materials for various activities, and assist with cleanup and organization afterwards.
- Act as a positive role model and mentor for campers, promoting respect, responsibility, and enthusiasm.
- Provide one-on-one support to campers who may need additional attention or encouragement.
- Assist with snack and mealtime supervision, ensuring a tidy and enjoyable experience.
- Communicate effectively with lead counselors regarding camper behavior, incidents, or concerns.
Required Skills
- Proven experience working with children in a recreational, educational, or childcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with children and adults.
- High level of energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
- Basic first aid knowledge or willingness to obtain certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or holding a degree/diploma in Education, Recreation, Child Development, or a related field.
- Experience with outdoor education, marine conservation, or beach-based activities.
- Proficiency in Portuguese and English.
