Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and exercises as outlined in their care plans.
- Support clients with medication reminders and basic health monitoring.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities, fostering social interaction.
- Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and community outings.
- Accurately document care provided and report any changes in client condition or concerns to the supervisor.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards of care.
- Collaborate effectively with family members and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year (12 months) of experience as a Care Assistant, Personal Support Worker, or equivalent.
- Valid work visa eligibility or willingness to undergo work visa sponsorship process.
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to assist others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector screening.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Health Care Assistant, Nursing Aid, or a related field.
