As an Entry Level Care Home Assistant Manager, you will be pivotal in supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the care home. You will assist the Home Manager in ensuring high standards of care delivery, staff supervision, and resident engagement, all while upholding the values of dignity, respect, and compassion. Key Responsibilities
- Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day operational management of the care home.
- Assist in the supervision, training, and development of care staff, fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
- Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of care plans, ensuring they are person-centred and reflective of resident needs.
- Help maintain compliance with all regulatory standards (e.g., Care Inspectorate Scotland) and internal policies.
- Participate in staff rotas and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet resident requirements.
- Handle resident and family enquiries, concerns, and feedback with empathy and professionalism.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including record-keeping, incident reporting, and documentation.
- Promote and facilitate engaging activities for residents, enhancing their quality of life.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all residents, staff, and visitors.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrable empathy, compassion, and a genuine interest in elderly care.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care setting (e.g., as a Care Assistant or Senior Carer).
- SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge of care home regulations and standards in Scotland.
