Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Home Manager in the day-to-day operational management of the care home.
  • Support the supervision, mentoring, and appraisal of care staff, ensuring high standards of practice.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of personalised care plans for residents.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and internal policies and procedures.
  • Lead shifts as required, acting as a point of contact for staff, residents, and families.
  • Help manage resident admissions and discharges, ensuring a seamless process.
  • Contribute to staff training and development initiatives.
  • Assist with rotas and staffing levels to ensure adequate cover.
  • Handle resident and family queries or concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Support incident reporting and investigations, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Participate in quality audits and continuous improvement efforts.
