Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Care Manager in overseeing daily care home operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Support the care team in providing high-quality, person-centered care to all residents, adhering to individual care plans.
  • Help with staff scheduling, supervision, and performance monitoring, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, health and safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to resident and family concerns, promoting open communication and satisfaction.
  • Participate in the assessment and review of care plans, ensuring they meet residents' evolving needs.
  • Assist in the induction and training of new care staff, sharing best practices and promoting continuous learning.
  • Deputise for the Care Manager in their absence, handling routine administrative tasks and urgent matters as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records and other essential documentation.

Required Skills

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience (even if non-supervisory) in a care home or similar care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient demeanor.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and improving residents' lives.
  • Basic IT literacy for record-keeping and communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience assisting with staff supervision or team lead responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with CQC regulations and best practices in adult social care.
  • First Aid certification.
