Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of care assistants during shifts, ensuring effective communication and task delegation.
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to residents, adhering to individual care plans and promoting independence.
  • Act as a first point of contact for care staff during shifts, providing guidance, support, and immediate problem-solving.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of resident care plans, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated.
  • Administer medication accurately and safely, following all company policies and regulatory guidelines (after full training).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records and documentation.
  • Support new team members through mentorship and practical guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, company policies, and CQC standards.
  • Foster a positive and respectful environment for both residents and staff.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and external professionals, maintaining confidentiality.

  • First Aid qualification (or willingness to complete).
  • Understanding of CQC regulations and best practices in care (training will be provided).
