Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, support, and mentor a team of care professionals, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and regular review of personalized care plans for clients, ensuring they meet individual needs and preferences.
  • Ensure all care plans and service delivery adhere strictly to regulatory standards, company policies, and best practices in health and social care.
  • Provide ongoing training, guidance, and professional development opportunities to care staff, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance checks, audits, and service user feedback sessions to monitor and improve care quality.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for complex client cases, family concerns, and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Collaborate effectively with external healthcare professionals, local authorities, and other agencies to ensure integrated care.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date client records and team documentation.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation as required, providing out-of-hours support and guidance.
  • Contribute actively to the continuous improvement of care services and the development of new initiatives within the organisation.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in a care setting, such as a Senior Care Assistant or Care Coordinator.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail and effective time management.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and willingness to learn care management software.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of care professionals.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for providing high-quality care.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel within the local area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
  • Previous supervisory or team leader experience within a care environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of local health and social care regulations and guidelines in Scotland.
  • Current First Aid certification.
