Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive overnight supervision and companionship to ensure client safety and well-being.
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including toileting, hygiene, and dressing, as needed during the night.
- Monitor vital signs, health conditions, and respond to emergencies or changes in client's health status promptly.
- Administer medication reminders as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying up common areas or preparing for the morning.
- Document client activities, observations, and any incidents accurately and thoroughly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for the client.
- Offer emotional support and engage in quiet activities to promote client comfort.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the Career.zycto care team.
- Adhere strictly to all care plans and company policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of professional caregiver experience (private or agency)
- Strong understanding of elderly care needs and safety protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain alert and attentive during overnight shifts
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and compassion
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
- CNA or HHA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide)
- Experience with clients requiring specialized care (e.g., dementia, Parkinson's)
- Proficiency in basic first aid and CPR certification
- Prior experience working overnight shifts
