Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs as instructed by healthcare professionals.
  • Prepare nutritious and appetizing meals, adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Assist with light household duties, including laundry, tidying living spaces, and ensuring a clean environment.
  • Offer companionship and engage in stimulating activities such as reading, games, walks, and conversations.
  • Accompany the client to appointments, social engagements, and outings as required.
  • Monitor and report any changes in the client's health, behavior, or well-being to family members or medical staff.
  • Ensure the client's safety and comfort at all times, responding promptly to needs and emergencies.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of care provided and daily activities.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of professional caregiving experience, preferably in a home setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong empathy and patience.
  • Ability to perform basic first aid and emergency response.
  • Proficiency in meal preparation and dietary management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect client privacy.
  • Must be physically capable of assisting with mobility and transfers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications in healthcare, nursing assistant (CNA), or home health aide (HHA).
  • Experience working with elderly individuals with specific conditions (e.g., dementia, mobility impairments).
  • Knowledge of local health and safety regulations.
