Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine daily checks on the premises to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical (basic), carpentry, and painting.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling programs effectively.
- Oversee and execute groundskeeping duties, such as litter picking, sweeping, and basic garden maintenance.
- Monitor and report any major maintenance issues, damages, or hazards to the facility manager promptly.
- Ensure all security systems (e.g., locks, alarms) are functioning correctly and report any malfunctions.
- Assist with setting up and tidying up for events or meetings as required.
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and basic maintenance tools, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Respond to emergency call-outs and address urgent issues outside of regular hours when necessary.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Caretaker, Janitor, or similar role.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in a trade (e.g., basic electrical, plumbing).
