Job Description

As a Caretaker, you will be the backbone of our facility management efforts, ensuring that all aspects of the property are in excellent condition. From routine maintenance tasks and cleanliness checks to minor repairs and groundskeeping, your efforts will directly contribute to a positive and productive atmosphere. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine daily checks on the premises to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical (basic), carpentry, and painting.
  • Manage waste disposal and recycling programs effectively.
  • Oversee and execute groundskeeping duties, such as litter picking, sweeping, and basic garden maintenance.
  • Monitor and report any major maintenance issues, damages, or hazards to the facility manager promptly.
  • Ensure all security systems (e.g., locks, alarms) are functioning correctly and report any malfunctions.
  • Assist with setting up and tidying up for events or meetings as required.
  • Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and basic maintenance tools, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Respond to emergency call-outs and address urgent issues outside of regular hours when necessary.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Caretaker, Janitor, or similar role.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general repairs.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in a trade (e.g., basic electrical, plumbing).
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • First aid and fire safety certification.
  • Experience operating basic grounds maintenance equipment.
