Career.zycto is seeking a diligent and reliable Caretaker with a strong sense of responsibility to oversee and maintain our properties in Vacoas-Phoenix. This vital role involves a dual focus on ensuring the physical integrity and cleanliness of the premises, as well as providing a vigilant security presence. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for all property-related matters, contributing significantly to a safe, clean, and functional environment for all occupants and visitors.
As a Caretaker – Property, Guard, you will be entrusted with the daily operational care of our facilities. This encompasses everything from conducting routine inspections to identify and address maintenance needs, performing minor repairs, managing cleaning schedules, to monitoring access and ensuring the security protocols are strictly adhered to. Your keen eye for detail, proactive approach, and commitment to upholding high standards will be crucial in preserving the value and safety of our assets. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily patrols and inspections of the property to ensure security, identify potential hazards, and monitor for unauthorized activities.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including minor repairs to plumbing, electrical systems, and general building fixtures.
- Oversee and participate in the upkeep of grounds, including gardening, sweeping, and waste management.
- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems, reporting any suspicious activities or breaches immediately.
- Control access to the property, verifying identification of visitors and contractors.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, maintenance logs, and visitor entry/exit.
- Ensure all doors, windows, and gates are securely locked outside operating hours.
- Respond to emergencies such as power outages, water leaks, or security incidents, taking appropriate action and escalating as required.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and tools, requesting replenishment as needed.
- Coordinate with external contractors for major repairs or specialized maintenance work.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on the premises.
- Assist with setting up and dismantling equipment for events or meetings as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a caretaker, security, or property management role.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
