Key Responsibilities
- Read and accurately interpret blueprints, drawings, and detailed specifications for construction projects.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plastic, fiberglass, and drywall with precision.
- Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, frames, floorings, ceilings, and trim work.
- Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Collaborate effectively with other construction professionals including superintendents, engineers, and various tradespeople to ensure projects are completed efficiently and according to schedule and budget.
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures, performing repairs as necessary.
- Strictly adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and best practices on job sites.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently, maintaining them in good working order.
Required Skills
- Proven minimum of 3 years of experience as a Carpenter in commercial or residential construction.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Expertise in using a wide range of hand and power carpentry tools and equipment.
- Strong understanding of carpentry techniques, construction methods, and installation procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a diverse team.
- Excellent physical condition, stamina, and ability to perform demanding tasks.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to precision craftsmanship.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
