Job Description

As a Carpenter Apprentice at Y.P. Key Responsibilities
- Assist journeymen carpenters with various tasks including framing, decking, roofing, and interior finishes.
- Learn to accurately measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, and other materials according to specifications.
- Help with the installation of structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, stairs, and molding.
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Transport materials and tools to and from work areas on construction sites.
- Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and hazardous materials.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist in the erection of scaffolding and temporary structures as required.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment, taking direction and showing initiative.
