Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping of all shop floors to remove wood dust, shavings, and debris.
- Thoroughly dust and wipe down all surfaces, including workbenches, machinery, shelves, and common areas.
- Empty and clean sawdust collection bins, general waste bins, and recycling containers.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common facilities.
- Clean and maintain windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
- Restock cleaning supplies and notify management when inventory is low.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Identify and report any maintenance issues, hazards, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
- Assist with basic organization of cleaning equipment and storage areas.
- Support a clean and safe environment for all carpentry shop personnel.
