Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments.
- Greet customers warmly and maintain a friendly, professional demeanour throughout their visit.
- Handle cash responsibly, ensuring correct change is given and discrepancies are reported.
- Scan items, apply discounts, and process coupons or loyalty rewards as required.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, locating items, and providing information about services or promotions.
- Resolve customer complaints or issues politely and efficiently, escalating to management when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked checkout area.
- Process returns, exchanges, and voids according to company policy.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and security policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and customer satisfaction.
- Perform end-of-day till reconciliation and complete all necessary paperwork.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a customer service or cashier role (6 months minimum).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle cash transactions and operate POS systems accurately.
- Friendly, approachable, and professional attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual with good time management.
- Team-oriented and willing to assist colleagues when needed.

- Previous experience in a retail, hospitality, or supermarket setting.
