Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems and cash registers.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and other forms of payment, providing correct change.
- Greet customers warmly and assist with product inquiries, offering exceptional service.
- Maintain a clean and organised checkout area, ensuring it is always ready for customers.
- Reconcile cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to loss prevention and security.
- Assist with bagging items, restocking shelves, and general store tidiness during quieter periods.
- Resolve customer complaints or escalate issues to management when necessary.
