Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
- Handle various payment methods including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments.
- Greet customers warmly, provide excellent service, and answer product or service-related questions.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and fully stocked checkout area.
- Assist with bagging items, price checks, and returns/exchanges as per company policy.
- Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, reconciling discrepancies.
- Promote loyalty programs, special offers, and provide information on store promotions.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures, including age verification for restricted items.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Address minor customer complaints or concerns and escalate complex issues to management.
- Contribute to maintaining overall store cleanliness and presentation during downtime.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Basic mathematical proficiency for accurate cash handling.
