Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card, and mobile payments, ensuring correct change and daily till reconciliation.
- Greet customers warmly, provide assistance, and answer product/service inquiries effectively and politely.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked checkout area, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.
- Assist with stock replenishment, pricing, and merchandising tasks as required to support store operations.
- Resolve minor customer complaints or escalate complex issues to management promptly and professionally.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including age verification for restricted items and security protocols.
Required Skills
- Proven ability in cash handling and operating various point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Excellent customer service and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing transactions and inventory.
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain composure in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong, positive work ethic.
- Basic mathematical skills for calculating change and reconciling tills.
