Key Responsibilities
- Assist cashiers with various tasks, including bagging groceries efficiently and correctly.
- Monitor and manage checkout queues, directing customers to available cashiers to minimize waiting times.
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering customer queries, and assisting with product location or general store information.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the checkout area, ensuring shopping baskets and trolleys are readily available.
- Handle customer complaints or issues professionally and escalate complex matters to supervisors when necessary.
- Ensure accurate scanning of products and correct handling of various payment methods when assisting cashiers.
- Replenish impulse buy items and other merchandise in the checkout vicinity.
- Collaborate effectively with the entire store team to ensure a cohesive and positive shopping environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Support inventory management tasks as needed, particularly around the checkout aisles.
