Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a visionary and highly experienced Casting Director to join our dynamic team in Notting Hill, London. This pivotal role involves leading the casting process for a diverse portfolio of projects, from film and television to digital content and commercials. We are looking for an individual with an exceptional eye for talent, a deep understanding of the industry landscape, and a proven ability to identify and secure the perfect talent for any role. You will be instrumental in shaping the creative direction of our projects by bringing compelling performances to life. This role requires a blend of artistic sensibility, strategic thinking, and impeccable organizational skills. You will manage all aspects of casting from initial script breakdown and talent outreach to audition coordination, negotiation, and final selection. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with directors, producers, and creative teams to understand project vision, character requirements, and overall casting needs.
- Conduct comprehensive talent searches, utilizing an extensive network of agents, managers, and independent talent, as well as engaging in proactive outreach.
- Organize and manage auditions, including scheduling, preparing sides, providing constructive feedback, and facilitating the audition process for talent and creative teams.
- Negotiate deal terms, contracts, and fees with agents and talent, ensuring all agreements align with project budgets and timelines.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of talent, agents, and industry professionals to ensure access to diverse and high-calibre performers.
- Manage casting budgets, timelines, and administrative tasks efficiently, providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging talent, and new casting technologies to continuously enhance our casting processes and outcomes.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Casting Director or Senior Casting Associate in film, television, or a related entertainment field.
- Demonstrable track record of successfully casting a variety of roles and projects.
- Extensive knowledge of talent pools, agents, and managers within the UK and international markets.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in casting software and platforms (e.g., Spotlight, Casting Networks).
- Deep understanding of actor performance, character development, and storytelling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Film, Theatre, Media Arts, or a related field.
- Experience working across different genres and production scales (independent, studio, commercial).
- Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
