As a Casual First Aid Trainer, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality first aid courses, ranging from basic life support to more advanced workplace first aid protocols, to a diverse audience including corporate clients, public groups, schools, and community organizations.
We are looking for an engaging and enthusiastic instructor who can create an interactive and supportive learning environment. Your ability to simplify complex medical concepts, demonstrate practical techniques clearly, and adapt your teaching style to meet the needs of various participants will be paramount. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging first aid training courses to diverse groups (e.g., corporate, public, schools).
- Tailor training content and delivery methods to meet the specific needs and learning styles of participants.
- Demonstrate practical first aid techniques clearly and effectively, ensuring participant understanding and competency.
- Assess participant knowledge and practical skills throughout and at the end of courses.
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant attendance, and assessment outcomes.
- Adhere strictly to national (DGUV where applicable) and international first aid guidelines and protocols.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all participants.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest first aid practices, guidelines, and resuscitation techniques.
- Manage training equipment and materials efficiently, reporting any needs or issues.
Required Skills
- Valid First Aid Instructor certification (e.g., DRK, Johanniter, Malteser, ASB or equivalent).
- Proven experience in delivering first aid training to varied audiences.
- Exceptional verbal and non-verbal communication skills in both German (C1+) and English (B2+).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners of all ages and backgrounds.
- Patience, empathy, and a professional demeanor.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with presentation tools and practical training equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certifications in specialized areas such as pediatric first aid, mental health first aid, or advanced life support.
- Experience working with corporate clients and understanding of workplace safety regulations (e.g., DGUV).
- Background in healthcare, emergency services, or education.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for travel to various training locations within Munich and surrounding areas.
