Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of various meals, snacks, and beverages according to daily menus and recipes.
- Ensure all food preparation and serving areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, strictly adhering to food safety regulations.
- Serve meals and refreshments to staff in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring prompt service and a pleasant dining experience.
- Wash, clean, and store kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, and equipment efficiently.
- Assist with stock management, including receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies and consumables.
- Monitor and replenish food and beverage supplies in serving areas as needed throughout service periods.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, following all operational guidelines.
- Support the Head Chef and other catering staff with various tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Adhere to all NMB Bank's health and safety policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a catering or hospitality environment (minimum 1 year).
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Food Handler’s Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience working in a corporate or institutional catering setting.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends if required.
