Job Description
Park Hyatt Zanzibar is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Catering Assistants to join our dynamic Food & Beverage team. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless execution of our diverse catering events, from intimate gatherings to grand banquets, all while upholding the renowned Park Hyatt standard of luxury and service. We have opportunities for both full-time and part-time positions, offering flexibility for the right candidates. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in setting up, serving, and clearing various food and beverage functions, working closely with our culinary and events teams. Your responsibilities will include assisting with food preparation, ensuring proper presentation, maintaining high standards of hygiene, and providing exceptional service to our esteemed guests. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of catering events, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and place settings according to event specifications.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner, following all service standards.
- Replenish food stations, buffets, and beverage service areas as needed throughout events.
- Assist culinary team with basic food preparation, plating, and presentation as instructed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all catering equipment, service areas, and storage facilities.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring a safe dining environment for guests.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and efficiently to requests, ensuring a positive guest experience.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members, including chefs, event planners, and fellow service staff.
- Perform dishwashing duties and ensure all tableware is clean and properly stored.
- Handle inventory and stock rotation of catering supplies as directed by supervisors.
