Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitisation of kitchen areas, including floors, walls, countertops, and cooking surfaces.
- Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment, ensuring all cutlery, crockery, and glassware are thoroughly cleaned and sterilised.
- Clean and sanitise food preparation equipment, such as mixers, ovens, fryers, and grills, following established procedures.
- Empty and sanitise waste bins, ensuring proper waste disposal and recycling practices are followed.
- Clean and organise storage areas, ensuring all items are stored hygienically and efficiently.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and report stock levels to the supervisor for timely reordering.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
- Assist with deep cleaning tasks as required, including periodic cleaning of hard-to-reach areas.
- Maintain cleanliness in staff changing rooms and welfare facilities connected to the catering department.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department promptly.
