Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of catering events, including tables, chairs, linens, and serving stations.
- Prepare and portion food items according to chef's instructions and catering guidelines.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring high standards of customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, serving stations, and catering equipment throughout events.
- Transport food, beverages, and equipment to and from event locations safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, event planners, and other crew members to ensure seamless event execution.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy trays and equipment (up to 25kg)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Basic understanding of food handling and safety principles
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or food service roles
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid food handler's permit or willingness to obtain one
