Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and decor according to event specifications.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner, following established service standards.
- Replenish food stations, buffets, and drink areas, ensuring cleanliness and proper presentation throughout the event.
- Clear tables, wash dishes, and maintain kitchen and serving areas in a clean and organized fashion.
- Interact positively with guests, anticipate their needs, and respond promptly and politely to requests.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with other catering staff, kitchen team, and event managers to ensure smooth event execution.
- Transport catering equipment and supplies to and from event locations as needed.
Required Skills
- Prior experience in catering, food service, or hospitality roles (minimum 6 months preferred).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Reliable transportation to various event locations within Downtown, Thousand Oaks.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Current Food Handler's Permit or ability to obtain one upon hiring.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with fine dining or high-volume catering events.
- Knowledge of various serving styles (e.g., buffet, plated service, family style).
