Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Catering Manager to lead our hospitality team in Horwich, Manchester. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of catering operations, including planning, preparation, and service delivery.
  • Develop and implement innovative menus that meet client needs and budgetary requirements, while considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate catering staff, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and control costs to meet financial targets without compromising quality.
  • Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations (HACCP standards).
  • Liaise directly with clients to understand their event requirements, provide tailored proposals, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring seamless operations from start to finish.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on food presentation, taste, and service efficiency.
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote catering services and secure new business opportunities.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in catering management or a similar hospitality leadership role.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and service techniques.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and inventory management.
  • Exceptional leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client relation abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software for inventory, scheduling, and office productivity.
  • Valid Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or 3).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (preferred for travel between venues).
