Key Responsibilities
- Washing, peeling, chopping, dicing, and preparing a wide variety of ingredients, including fresh vegetables, fruits, and meats, strictly adhering to chef's instructions and recipe specifications.
- Assisting in fundamental cooking tasks such as mixing batters, measuring precise quantities of ingredients, and assembling various food items prior to cooking or serving.
- Ensuring the proper storage and systematic rotation of all food items to maintain peak freshness, comply with food safety regulations, and minimize spoilage and waste.
- Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization for all assigned work stations, kitchen equipment, and culinary utensils throughout the shift.
- Washing and sanitizing dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware diligently and efficiently as needed.
- Assisting with the receiving and meticulous stocking of inventory, ensuring all supplies are correctly unpacked, labeled, and organized in designated areas.
- Adhering strictly to all established food safety and hygiene standards and protocols at all times to ensure a safe and healthy kitchen environment.
- Supporting the broader culinary team with any additional preparatory tasks or general kitchen duties as required to facilitate seamless catering event execution.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of fundamental food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Ability to accurately follow both verbal and written instructions from supervisors and chefs.
