Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the meticulous setup and elegant breakdown of event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and precise place settings according to event plans.
- Serve a variety of food and beverages to guests promptly and courteously, adhering strictly to specific event timelines and upholding the highest service standards.
- Proactively anticipate guest needs and respond to requests efficiently and professionally, ensuring a consistently high level of guest satisfaction.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization of all serving areas, kitchen access points, and dining spaces throughout the duration of each event.
- Collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with kitchen staff, event planners, and other team members to guarantee seamless event execution from start to finish.
- Adhere to all local food safety and hygiene regulations, as well as company-specific policies and operational procedures.
- Handle delicate dishware, glassware, and serving equipment with utmost care to prevent breakage and maintain quality.
- Assist diligently with post-event clean-up, which includes clearing tables, thorough washing of dishes, and careful reorganization and storage of equipment.
- Attend all pre-event briefings to fully understand event specifics, detailed menu information, dietary restrictions, and precise service instructions.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and consistently positive attitude
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a fast-paced team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on guest interaction
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout an event
- Capable of safely lifting and carrying trays weighing up to 25 lbs (approx. 11 kg)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by varying event schedules
- Punctuality and reliability are absolutely essential for all shifts and events
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in any customer service or guest-facing role (e.g., retail, café, volunteer work)
- Basic understanding of food safety practices (FoodSafe certification is a plus but not required)
- Familiarity with various types of event setups and different service styles (e.g., buffet, plated service)
