Career.zycto is seeking a highly vigilant and experienced CCTV Operator to join our dedicated security team in Brighton & Hove. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor CCTV surveillance systems across various locations in Brighton & Hove, ensuring continuous coverage and functionality.
- Proactively identify and report suspicious behaviour, security breaches, or potential threats, escalating incidents according to established protocols.
- Respond effectively to alarms and emergency situations, providing critical information and support to security teams and emergency services.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all incidents, observations, and actions taken, ensuring comprehensive record-keeping.
- Conduct regular system checks to ensure all CCTV equipment is fully operational and report any faults promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) and company policies regarding privacy and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with other security personnel and management to enhance overall security effectiveness and response strategies.
- Produce written reports and statements as required for investigations or management reviews.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a CCTV Operator in a professional environment (minimum 1 year).
- Exceptional observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to concentrate for extended periods and monitor multiple screens effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and incident response.
- Proficiency in using modern CCTV software and general IT applications.
- A solid understanding of security protocols and emergency procedures.

- Demonstrated reliability and a strong sense of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid SIA CCTV Licence (essential for operation in the UK).
