Key Responsibilities
- Sort and categorize donated items efficiently and accurately according to established guidelines.
- Inspect donations for quality, cleanliness, and usability, setting aside items that do not meet standards.
- Carefully pack various goods into appropriate containers or boxes, ensuring items are secured for transport.
- Label packed boxes clearly and accurately with contents, destination, and any other required information.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of donation deliveries and shipments, requiring moderate lifting.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the packing and storage areas.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and operational procedures to ensure a secure workplace.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and volunteers to achieve daily packing goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting up to 25 lbs, and repetitive motion.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in sorting and packing.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
