Career.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated and vigilant Chat Moderation Assistant to join our growing team in Buzi, Sofala Province. In an increasingly digital world, maintaining a safe, respectful, and engaging online environment is paramount. As a Chat Moderation Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring that online interactions align with community guidelines and platform policies, protecting users from harmful content, harassment, and misinformation.
This full-time position requires a keen eye for detail, strong ethical judgment, and the ability to make swift, informed decisions under pressure. You will be responsible for reviewing user-generated content across various chat platforms, identifying violations of terms of service, and taking appropriate action, which may include removing content, issuing warnings, or escalating complex issues to senior moderators. Your work directly contributes to a positive user experience and helps build trust within online communities.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor live chat streams and user-generated content across designated platforms to ensure compliance with community guidelines and terms of service.
- Proactively identify and address content violations, including but not limited to hate speech, harassment, spam, graphic content, and illegal activities.
- Implement moderation actions such as content removal, user warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans as per established protocols.
- Respond to user inquiries and appeals regarding moderation decisions with clarity, professionalism, and empathy.
- Document moderation actions, incident reports, and relevant data accurately and comprehensively.
- Collaborate with senior moderators and team leads to review complex cases and contribute to the refinement of moderation policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on evolving online trends, platform features, and potential risks to digital safety.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance knowledge of moderation tools, policies, and best practices.
- Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive user data and content.
