Key Responsibilities
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to accurately and efficiently process customer transactions.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and mobile payment methods with precision and security.
- Provide friendly, prompt, and courteous service to all customers, assisting with inquiries and resolving minor issues.
- Scan and bag groceries carefully, ensuring products are handled with care.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized checkout area, including shelves and display units.
- Assist customers with loyalty programs and promotions, explaining benefits clearly.
- Monitor checkout queues and call for assistance when necessary to ensure efficient flow.
- Process returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
- Adhere to all store policies and procedures, especially regarding cash handling and security.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in Portuguese (knowledge of local languages an advantage).
- Excellent customer service orientation with a positive and friendly demeanor.
- Basic mathematical skills for accurate cash handling.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.

Preferred Qualifications
