Beyond the transaction, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of your checkstand area, assisting customers with inquiries, and ensuring a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. Key Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately to process customer transactions.
- Scan merchandise, ensuring correct pricing and handling of goods.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card, and mobile payments, providing accurate change and receipts.
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns politely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkstand area.
- Assist with bagging groceries and ensuring customers leave with all their purchased items.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to loss prevention and security.
- Assist in other areas of the store as needed, such as shelf stocking or general tidiness.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
- Communicate product feedback or customer service issues to supervisors.

- Basic mathematical proficiency for handling cash and making change.
