Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee a designated kitchen section (e.g., Larder, Hot, Pastry).
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to company recipes and standards.
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Monitor and manage stock levels, including ordering and inventory control for your section.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organisation of your workstation and kitchen area.
- Adhere strictly to all food hygiene, health, and safety regulations (HACCP).
- Assist in menu development and costing with the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
- Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen assistants within your section.
- Contribute to a positive and productive kitchen environment.
- Oversee portion control and minimise waste.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Chef De Partie or Senior Commis Chef.
- Strong culinary skills across various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and a passion for presentation.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and stock control.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent.
