Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute daily menus, including specials, ensuring variety, nutritional balance, and appeal to a diverse palate.
  • Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, adhering to strict quality and consistency standards.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storage of food supplies, minimizing waste and optimizing cost efficiency.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations (HACCP, local health codes).
  • Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, promoting a culture of teamwork, continuous learning, and professional growth.
  • Experiment with new recipes and culinary techniques to introduce innovative dishes and enhance the overall dining experience.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment in excellent working condition and report any maintenance needs promptly.
  • Collaborate with management to set and achieve food cost targets and operational goals.
  • Manage food allergies and special dietary requests with precision and care.
  • Ensure efficient workflow and timely service during peak periods.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Chef in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, or institutional catering environment.
  • Exceptional culinary skills with a diverse repertoire of cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
