Job Description

Are you an experienced Chemical Engineer with a passion for optimizing industrial processes and driving innovation in a dynamic manufacturing environment? Wisynco Group Limited is seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Chemical Engineer to join our thriving manufacturing plant team in Hope Pastures, St. Andrew. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in the design, development, optimization, and troubleshooting of our production processes for a wide array of consumer goods, beverages, and industrial products.

As a key contributor, you will leverage your expertise to enhance operational efficiency, ensure product quality, and uphold stringent safety and environmental standards. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvement, implementing cost-saving measures, and scaling production while maintaining consistency and compliance. This position requires a proactive problem-solver with a strong analytical mind, capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, research & development, and maintenance.

Your day-to-day will involve hands-on engagement with our state-of-the-art equipment and systems, from raw material conversion to final product packaging. You will conduct experiments, analyze data, and provide technical guidance to production staff, playing a crucial role in preventing and resolving operational challenges. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, optimize, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor and analyze process performance data, identifying trends, deviations, and areas for improvement.
  • Implement and manage process control systems to ensure consistent product quality and operational stability.
  • Lead and participate in root cause analysis for production issues, developing and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams on new product development and scale-up from pilot to full production.
  • Ensure all processes comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal safety protocols.
  • Prepare technical reports, process documentation, and operational procedures.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in a manufacturing plant environment
  • Strong understanding of process design, optimization, and control principles
  • Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Solid knowledge of safety regulations and quality assurance standards (e.g., ISO, HACCP)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience in the food & beverage or consumer goods manufacturing industry
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
