Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and execute chemical experiments in a laboratory setting, adhering to strict safety protocols and best practices.
- Analyze experimental data using advanced analytical techniques and software, interpreting results and drawing sound conclusions.
- Develop and optimize new chemical processes, formulations, and analytical methods to meet project objectives.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, presentations, and documentation of experimental procedures and findings.
- Operate and maintain a wide range of laboratory equipment, including but not limited to spectroscopy, chromatography, and thermal analysis instruments.
- Conduct quality control tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including engineers, materials scientists, and production personnel.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to experimental procedures, equipment, and analytical results.
- Stay updated with the latest scientific literature, industry trends, and technological advancements relevant to the field of chemistry.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and internal company policies.
Required Skills
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of organic, inorganic, or physical chemistry.
- Proficiency in common laboratory techniques and instrumentation (e.g., GC-MS, HPLC, FTIR, NMR, UV-Vis).
- Excellent data analysis, interpretation, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to design and execute scientific experiments independently.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all experimental and documentation work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in scientific software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
- Experience with process development, scale-up, or manufacturing support.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and GLP/GMP guidelines.
- Fluency in German is a significant advantage.
- Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., JMP, Minitab).
- Track record of scientific publications or patent contributions.
