Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Full-Time Chemist to join our innovative research and development team in Ashland Park, Lexington. Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and interpret chemical experiments in a laboratory setting.
- Operate and maintain a variety of analytical instrumentation (e.g., GC-MS, HPLC, NMR, FTIR).
- Develop and validate new analytical methods for chemical characterization and quantification.
- Synthesize and purify novel organic or inorganic compounds as required by project goals.
- Perform routine quality control analysis on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Accurately record, analyze, and present experimental data, including preparation of technical reports and presentations.
- Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and experimental procedures to ensure data integrity and efficiency.
- Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment, strictly adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, biologists, and project managers.
- Stay abreast of scientific literature and advancements in relevant chemical fields.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on laboratory experience in an industrial or research setting.
- Proficiency with analytical techniques such as GC-MS, HPLC, UV-Vis, FTIR, or NMR.
- Strong understanding of organic and inorganic chemical principles.
- Demonstrated ability to design experiments, analyze data, and troubleshoot scientific problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and presentations.
- Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and data analysis software.
- Adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and safety regulations.
