Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Full-Time Chemist to join our innovative research and development team in Ashland Park, Lexington. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and interpret chemical experiments in a laboratory setting.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of analytical instrumentation (e.g., GC-MS, HPLC, NMR, FTIR).
  • Develop and validate new analytical methods for chemical characterization and quantification.
  • Synthesize and purify novel organic or inorganic compounds as required by project goals.
  • Perform routine quality control analysis on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
  • Accurately record, analyze, and present experimental data, including preparation of technical reports and presentations.
  • Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and experimental procedures to ensure data integrity and efficiency.
  • Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment, strictly adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, biologists, and project managers.
  • Stay abreast of scientific literature and advancements in relevant chemical fields.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on laboratory experience in an industrial or research setting.
  • Proficiency with analytical techniques such as GC-MS, HPLC, UV-Vis, FTIR, or NMR.
  • Strong understanding of organic and inorganic chemical principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to design experiments, analyze data, and troubleshoot scientific problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and presentations.
  • Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and data analysis software.
  • Adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience in materials science, polymer chemistry, or pharmaceutical research.
  • Familiarity with process development and scale-up methodologies.
  • Prior experience with intellectual property contribution (e.g., patent applications).
  • Certification in specific analytical instruments or techniques.
